Testimonials

Here at Jamie Words, I have the unique privilege of working with people from many different professional fields and walks of life. Below are some of my clients’ personal stories in working with me.

cv_profile3I have reaped the benefits of working with Jamie and Jamie Words in many ways. Having had her organize a just-right website for my therapy modality, I can say with certainty that Jamie will always get any editing/writing help/website work of mine in the future. I can heartily attest to the methods Jamie uses to bring out the best in your work and make it your “own” quickly, efficiently, carefully and with clear, positive results. She is a dream to work with as her listening skills are honed to really “get” what you or your product needs. She works quickly and with skill. I kept telling her, “I thought this was going to be so hard but you have made it easy!” and I mean that. Jamie is a consummate professional who is capable of working with varying ages, subjects, and troubleshoots with ease. You will not regret hiring Jamie for your professional literary needs!

word_lgAs a pastor and professional counselor for nearly 40 years, I have worked with many individuals who unfortunately were less than reliable. That is why the last 4 months in writing my first book has been so enjoyable. Jamie’s quick response to my emails and texts regarding publishing concerns were handled in a professional manner. Her counsel in many areas of editing, designing page layouts and handling all correspondence and feedback with our book publisher were so helpful. Thanks, Jamie, for giving me the privilege of working with a person of real character.

Restorer_smFrom our first planning meeting, Jamie cheerfully took on tasks that distract me from writing. Her availability as a literary assistant instantly lifted pressure from my shoulders. Her enthusiasm and wealth of ideas would be a boon to any author. She’s also flexible in working with a tight budget, and adaptable to varied hours, so whether you are able to hire her for one hour or a hundred, let her know your needs and ask her about how she could help. I’m so delighted that I did. Jamie is detail oriented, upbeat, and responsive. Her passion for books and for supporting authors is a treasure.

daggers_230Having published more than two-dozen professional articles and four books as a Clinical/Forensic Psychologist and freelance writer, I have had forty years of less-than-boring experiences with editors and editing. Several colleagues have suggested that the publishing process may be the leading cause of alcoholism. I disagree. I cite as prima facie evidence for my position, the exceptionally sensitive and competent work of my most recent editor, Ms. Jamie.

Jamie is a bright professional who refuses to consort with the mediocre. Her feedback has proven to be “on point,” given graciously but without sugarcoating, and supported by a rich background in literature and common sense. She “gets it.” With a firm grasp on the architecture of writing, coupled with perceptive insights into what makes the plot and characters “tick,” Jamie has moved my work to a level I only dreamed about.

If I worked for a major literary/publishing firm, would I hire her as an editor (I’ve worked for forty years in personnel selection with private corporations, state and federal agencies, and higher education)? In a heartbeat. Do I recommend her without reservation? Absolutely!

She is so worth it!
